Black Lives Matter
Over past years and decades Black people have been labeled as threats to society. Slavery was a system that was enforced to keep colored people in bondage. Slaves was whipped with chains from the oppressors for not obeying their masters. The oppressor didn’t want colored people reading books because if they gained knowledge and wisdom they would understand how wrong slavery was. Firefighters jobs before was not to out fires but instead they were burning books because it was against the law. Systematic oppression has gone on for decades. During slavery and segregation colored people were banned from certain areas in parks, schools, bathrooms and more. Black people fought for their rights to freedom and even after years of fighting and protest the fight still goes on. But they was a turning point in Black History in 1921 the birth of Black Wall Street in Tulsa Oklahoma Greenwood District. Black Wall Street was a powerful black community where black business were flourishing and colored people didn’t have to get jobs from the white folks. Black Wall Street consisted of businesses from hair salons, barbershops, laundry mats and more they was almost everything you need in black wall street so colored people didn’t need to go elsewhere. Businesses were booming and colored people were celebrating for their accomplishments they couldn’t believe how important ownership was. The oppressors didn’t like how successful these businesses were becoming without them so they started to plot how to destroy them. Oppressor later set businesses on fire and burned down the establishments of black folks and it couldn’t be rebuilt and become successful again because these black people had to go to the oppressors for loans and tools because they had more resources. Black people have continued to fight for there lives whether it has been in the hands of police brutality or a racist person taking matters in there own hands. Police brutality and racism has gone on for years. Black people would obey the law and still get treated like a criminal or a threat. So much lives has been taking due to police brutality and a unjust system but the same way they put laws in placed to keep us under they need to put laws in place to arrest the cops who abuse they power and go above their means. So much protest and riots has occurred in the year 2020 because Black people as a whole are tired and wants their voices to be heard. It doesn’t make sense how you love they culture but don’t like the people. Black people are the reason a lot of white own businesses are successful the black community are the biggest supporters to things they like. Police Brutality needs to stop and racist people who attacks or kills black people need to face the same crimes as we do and stricter laws need to be enforced because enough is enough. Black people went through enough in history and we deserve a equal share as everyone else. Black businesses has been rising since this pandemic a lot of young and old black people have been starting they own businesses. Its a great thing to see how people are understanding the importance of ownership again. When you see a black person don’t judge by they color talk to them learn they story and that way we all can have a better understanding of each other. If you support us and we are not the same race don’t let us fight alone joined hands and fight with us. Black lives matter Black Businesses matter …..
